Kevin Lisbie is eying a place in the next round of the Carling Cup even though he admits he would rather it was not Colchester that stand in his way.

The Town striker was a smash hit at Layer Road last term after joining them from Charlton in the summer of 2007.

He scored 17 goals for the U's before relegation to League One opened the door for Town to bring him to Portman Road in the summer and told Ipswich World: "I only left Colchester six weeks ago so to be playing them so soon isn't ideal.

"But that's the way it is and I'll be treating it as any other game. There will be plenty of banter flying around before the match but as we get close to kick-off, it will get serious and I'll be doing everything I can to get Ipswich into the next round.

"There is no reason why we can't have a good run in the Carling Cup and the incentive is there. Beat Colchester and we are one game closer to getting to Wembley and a cup final."

Full ticket details for tonight's game, which kicks-off at 7.45pm, are on the ticket page of the Club website.
